We're here!

3rd day coming up in Cape Town and we're suffering from jet lag after over 26 hours flying time and 32 hours travelling to get here. Arrived in Cape Town on Boxing Day at about 7am to a stunning day. Due to bird strike on the runway we were treated to a scenic fly over of Cape Town with fantastic views of the mountain and Robbin Island, followed by hours of waiting to get through passport check as there were only 2 people for the 2 International flights that had just arrived. Highlight of the longhaul flight.... in-flight entertainment! An almost unlimited selection of movies, tv and games! BOOYAA!

Apart from some serious sleeping due to some magic blue pills, Graeme (my Dad) has taken us out for a tikky tour to get our bearings yesterday. This was just some basic sights like the local vineyards, shopping center, around the bays and a drive by through downtown. We've met a few locals (old friends of Graeme and Libby's here in Cape Town, not real locals), had gutter conversations with my auntie Sally who is over here with uncle Rick and my cousins Hannah and Sam for a couple more days, discussed how great Justin Bieber (sp?) is with Hannah, swum in the pool and hunted squirrels in the back yard. Today when Dani gets out of bed we'll steal a car from Dad and Libby and see where we can get lost.

Below is the obligatory Table Mountain tourist photo that must be displayed by any tourist visiting Cape Town (taken whislt on Dad's tikky tour).

Right, it's breakfast time so maybe Dani will write something more later.
